The SECD – Child Development Primer is a backgrounder on the theories and the study of child development. It is an ideal resource for students who need a brief overview of child development or for anyone who wants a better understanding of the vital concepts related to working with young children.

The Child Development Primer uses the SECD multimedia approach to present synthesized information on: theories of human development, how development is studied, developmental domains, observation, positive guidance and the importance of play. It is our newest resource, developed to provide an additional SECD tool for educators and students.
